Running many coding agents at once: worktree managers, kanbans, terminal multiplexers, dashboards, and the mobile clients that supervise them from anywhere.

  • AX - Google’s Kubernetes-native orchestrator that runs agent tasks, workspaces, and network gates as declarative cluster manifests, the category’s first datacenter-scale control plane.
  • Claude Squad - free AGPL terminal app running multiple coding agents in tmux, each in its own worktree.
  • cmux - Manaflow’s libghostty macOS terminal for parallel agents, notification rings free, cloud execution paid (Pro $50, Max $200 monthly).
  • Conductor - the macOS app for parallel Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode sessions with diff review and PR flow.
  • Crystal - Stravu’s worktree manager, deprecated February 2026 for Nimbalyst, kept here as a death record.
  • dmux - the MIT tmux TUI where every task pane gets its own worktree and branch.
  • Emdash - the Apache-2.0 agentic development environment from General Action (YC W26), local or over SSH.
  • Foremerge - the Apache-2.0 protocol where parallel agents publish what they are about to change before they change it, catching the plan collisions Git merges without complaint, from GPTree’s internal tooling.
  • Gas Town - Steve Yegge’s tmux town of 20-30 supervised agents, shut down in September 2026 after Yegge admitted he never successfully built anything with it, kept as the category’s cautionary record.
  • Happy Coder - the MIT encrypted mobile client wrapping Claude Code and Codex sessions, 23.8k stars, second only to cmux in the category.
  • JetBrains Air - the standalone agentic environment running Codex, Claude Agent, Gemini CLI, and Junie in parallel, isolated per task and bundled with the AI subscription.
  • Omnara - the YC S25 Apache-2.0 Go control plane where agents are YAML and supervision happens from dashboard, phone, CLI, API, or Slack.
  • Paseo - the open-source daemon driving coding agents from desktop, web, and native mobile apps, self-hosted and solo-maintained.
  • Superset - the YC-backed, source-available agentic IDE running parallel CLI agents in worktrees on your own subscriptions.
  • Vibe Kanban - the Apache-2.0 kanban for parallel agents, orphaned by Bloop’s April 2026 shutdown, community commits resumed in September 2026 but still no release.
  • Worktrunk - the Rust wt CLI making worktrees as easy as branches, with lifecycle hooks and a one-command merge.
